About Entertaiment
Any form of entertainment, regardless of how low-brow it may seem to some, is okay as long as it doesn’t hurt others and doesn’t degrade them below human dignity. Entertaiment has also shown a remarkable ability to cross over different media, allowing familiar forms to remain in the public eye for longer periods of time than they might have otherwise.
The word entertainment comes from the Medieval Latin intertenere, which means “to hold inside.” Its Indo-European root is ten, meaning to stretch or expand.
